Jim Huneke - Tennis Psychology



Jim Huneke is a Tennis instructor in Des Moines. He has an extensive amount of experience as both a PE Teacher in elementary Junior high and high schools as well as a large amount of experience coaching tennis at all levels. He has coached very young students in elementary school and coached in Division II colleges.  He also has been a private tennis instructor for many years. He understands that Tennis is one of the best sports for people to play for health. 

IAHPERD. Jim Huneke understands that beyond the positive physical aspects, there are also many very positive mental; aspects to the game. Some of the important ones are:

 
          Tennis helps people, especially children develop a strong work ethic. Tennis requires a dedication to practice and lessons. That need helps people understand the hard-work vs reward mentality necessary to compete in today’s global economy.
          Learn how to deal with stress. There is a lot of stress when you are playing tennis and trying to get a point. It is a positive type of stress which many people use as an outlet. It also helps to build a higher tolerance to stress which will help you throughout your life.
          Jim Huneke also recognizes that Tennis can you teach you: Have fun. Life is to short and sometimes you just need to relax and enjoy competitiveness and physical challenges.
