Jim Huneke: Unwavering Dedication

Jim Huneke is one who has implemented consistent dedication to the pursuit of success throughout his career, both in higher education as well as in tennis. An athletic professional with many years of experience in the areas of tennis, as well as hockey, Jim Huneke, who is a USPTA Elite Professional Certified Tennis Professional, has utilized his talent and expertise as a tennis coach, tennis instructor, and member of a professional tennis team, with fierce dedication.

Jim Huneke’s dedication to excellence has been widely recognized, and, in 2007, he received the Young Professional Physical Education award from the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. 

Jim Huneke’s natural athletic talents were in use from an early age. Not one to give up, Jim Huneke has demonstrated dedication throughout his illustrious career. For more than 30 years, Jim Huneke has been a member of the USA Hockey association, and has worked as a hockey referee at every level of the sport, from refereeing mite’s games to Division 1 college teams.

For 25 years, Jim Huneke has been a member of the United States Tennis Association. In 2007, Jim Huneke became a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association, and in 2012, Jim Huneke earned the associations highest-level certification of Elite Professional.

Jim Huneke provides his example of dedication to many. Whether as a tennis coach for a school or college, or as an instructor at a club such as the Quincy Country Club, where he worked from June 2006 to March 2013, Jim Huneke exemplifies commitment to his duties.
