Tennis Coach, Hockey Ref: Jim Huneke

Tennis coach Jim Huneke has been plying his trade in Minnesota and Illinois for over fifteen years. Jim Huneke has been a tennis coach at schools and clubs in addition to his work as a physical education teacher and his career as a tennis professional. Tennis has been Jim Huneke’s main passion for his entire life, ever since his youth. The coaching Jim Huneke received as a young tennis player helped him achieve the success he experienced in his life, and now he seeks to bestow that same success upon those whom he himself is coaching. 

 

Being a tennis coach is incredibly rewarding for Jim Huneke. As a former resident professional at the Rochester Athletic Club in Rochester MN, Jim Huneke had the opportunity to work with adult tennis players in addition to his work as a youth coach. This helped to give Jim Huneke perspective, and he considered it an honor to have been able to share the fruits of his experience with such a wide range of people.

Tennis coaching is not Jim Huneke’s only pursuit, however. In addition, he has been a youth hockey referee for 25 years. Hard to believe for someone who is only 36, but Jim Huneke started young. Hockey refereeing is something that Jim Huneke has always loved to do, and he feels fortunate to have had opportunities all along the way. Between his tennis coaching and his hockey refereeing, Jim Huneke stays quite busy, but still finds time to volunteer at his church and in the community.
