Jim Huneke has over 15 years of tennis coaching experience. He has
been both an assistant coach and a head coach for educational institutions in
both Minnesota and Illinois.
Many players have benefitted from Jim Huneke’s professional tennis
experience and expertise. Since 1997, many young players have had the opportunity
to learn from Jim Huneke, who himself was a member of the St. Cloud University
Division II tennis team from 1996 to 1999. Jim has been able to successfully
improve player’s games through expert advice based on many years of experience
and learning.
Jim Huneke began his coaching career just after college graduation. In
1997 he became the head coach of the South Junior High Boys’ and Girls’ tennis
teams, where he remained until 2000. He then served brief tenures as a coach
for Maple Grove High School, Monticello
High School, Geneva High School and Lake Forest College.
Jim Huneke was honored to have had the opportunity to have a positive impact on
so many young lives.
He is also an accomplished tennis professional, and has built a
successful career helping people of all ages hone their tennis skills. Since
2001 Jim Huneke has been involved with several clubs and organizations. He has
helped many people develop better swings, quicker reactions and faster serves.
Jim Huneke believes that the game of tennis has been a very important part of
his life, and has allowed him to cultivate many strong and lasting
relationships.
Jim Huneke is certified by the USPTA as an Elite Professional. He
specializes in offering Quickstart tennis lessons.
