Jim Huneke is
a professional physical education teacher who is also a tennis coach. He
recognizes the value in Physical education in students and encourages them to
find a sport the truly love the way he loves tennis. Living in the Des Moines area has been
great for a tennis training professional like Jim Huneke because there is an
abundance of interest and investment into the sport in the area.
Jim Huneke
really believes that children would love the sport more if more courts and
equipment which were child sized were available to the public. While well
equipped and often costly private facilities tend to have an abundance of the
equipment necessary, the general public often do not have access to these
amenities.
Jim
Huneke
believes that by making Child sized racquets, ball and courts more available to
children, they would discover a love of the game that he has had his whole
life. He is a trained professional who knows and utilizes the United States
Tennis Associations Quick Start Program as often as he can. The program works
to help provide children with the equipment that is right sized for them.
Jim Huneke
understands how valuable good equipment can be which is why he worked so hard
on grant proposals for Madison Elementary School in Quincy Illinois.
They won a number of grants which helped to provide good equipment and improved
facilities for the children of the school.
