Jim Huneke Recommends Tennis Certification

Are you a tennis coach? If so Jim Huneke would like to recommend that you attempt to get certified. There are a number of great reasons to do so. Jim Huneke has a few reasons why you should become a certified Tennis instructor listed here and there are many more:

The recognition for your hard work learning what goes into teaching tennis. This sounds silly and likely you don’t think you need it but sometimes it is good to say,  “Not only do I know what I am talking about but the most important company in my industry agrees.”
Career paths and pay goes way up when you are certified. If you get certified with the USPTA you will have a better chance of landing a very good job and making a career of teaching tennis becomes much more doable.
Many companies will not hire you if you are not certified. Largely that is because when you are certified with one of the two largest companies, it comes with access to a liability insurance policy. That same insurance company may not let you have insurance with them until they know that you are teaching people in a safe manner and the certification shows them that.

The networking and access to further benefits far outweighs the cost of the certifications. They are fairly inexpensive but not easy to obtain. Remember that for most of the better tests you will be required to have experience teaching or coaching for a number of years. You will also need to prove that you can teach the way they want you to. If those things are not a deterrent then order some study materials now
